Using the right browser makes a significant difference to your online lesson experience. Here’s what we recommend.
Google Chrome (Recommended)
We recommend Google Chrome for the best experience with NSEMM and Lessonspace. Chrome offers full support for all features including video, audio, screen sharing, and the interactive whiteboard. It’s available free for Windows, Mac, and Linux at google.com/chrome.
Other Supported Browsers
Mozilla Firefox works well for most features, though Chrome tends to be more reliable for screen sharing. Microsoft Edge (the newer version based on Chrome) also provides a good experience for Windows users.
Safari works on Mac and iOS devices, though some features may be limited. For the best experience on Apple devices, we still recommend downloading Chrome.
Browsers to Avoid
Internet Explorer is not supported and should not be used. Very old versions of any browser may also have issues, so make sure your browser is up to date.
Keeping Your Browser Updated
Browser updates often include important security fixes and improvements that can affect video calling. To update Chrome, click the three-dot menu, then Help, then About Google Chrome. If an update is available, it will download automatically.
Mobile Devices
While you can access NSEMM Learn on mobile devices, we recommend using a laptop or desktop computer for lessons. The larger screen makes it easier to see shared content and use the whiteboard. If you do need to use a mobile device, Safari works best on iPhone and iPad, while Chrome works best on Android.
