Welcome to NSEMM! We’re delighted you’ve chosen us for your child’s tutoring. This guide will help you get set up and make the most of our services.
Setting Up Your Account
You’ll receive an invitation email with a link to set up your account. Click the link, complete your profile information, and add your child’s details. This information helps us match you with suitable tutors and personalise the learning experience.
Booking Lessons
Once your account is set up, you can book lessons through NSEMM Learn at learn.nsemm.org.uk. Navigate to the Lessons section, select “Book New Lesson”, and choose your preferred subject, tutor, and time slot. If you’re not sure which tutor to choose, our team can recommend someone based on your child’s needs.
Preparing for Lessons
Before your child’s first lesson, make sure they have a quiet space to work where they won’t be disturbed. For online lessons, check that your device’s camera and microphone are working, and that you have a stable internet connection. Have any relevant school materials ready, such as textbooks or homework that your child wants to discuss.
During and After Lessons
You’re welcome to observe lessons, particularly for younger children. After each lesson, your child’s tutor will provide feedback, which you can view in your NSEMM Learn dashboard. This includes what was covered, how your child engaged, and any homework that was set.
Payments and Billing
After lessons are completed, you’ll receive an invoice by email with a secure link to pay online. Alternatively, you can use session credits for automatic payment. Our cancellation policy requires 24 hours’ notice for a full refund.
Getting Help
If you have any questions or concerns, our support team is here to help. You can send us a message through the Help Centre, call us on 0115 678 7080, or browse the Help Centre for answers to common questions.
As NSEMM is a student-run charity, you may reach our voicemail when you call – please leave a message and we will call back within working days. Messaging through the Help Centre is usually the fastest way to get a response.
